Biography

Simon Jacobson is a Vice President in the Supply Chain Operations team with over 20 years of experience in research and advisory roles. Simon focuses on the convergence of manufacturing strategy, technology, and talent. Simon is pioneering research on the technology and business strategies driving smart factories, connected workers, and smart manufacturing. His research and insight have helped more than 600 companies balance innovation with core competency to shape their unique strategies and roadmaps for transforming manufacturing’s contribution to profitability. Simon leads Gartner’s Manufacturing Strategy agenda and is an advisory board member for the Clean Energy Smart Manufacturing Innovation Institute (CESMII).
