Biography

Maria Florez is a research consultant affiliated with the Tufts Center for the Study of Drug Development. Her work looks at the impact of digital transformation in clinical research; practices, strategies and incentives driving improvements in the pharmaceutical R&D process; and the economics of new drug development. She has held strategy positions at Cleveland Clinic and New York-Presbyterian Hospital of Columbia and Cornell Universities and has published articles in trade and peer-reviewed journals. Maria holds a bachelor’s degree in economics, and master’s degree in economics from The Fletcher School at Tufts University.
