Biography

Melissa is Associate Director of Facilities & Operations at Seawolf Therapeutics. She has 14 years’ experience in research environments; Seven years in Academia (Arizona State University, The Bio-design Institute) & seven years in the San Diego biotech industry. In the industry, Melissa has worked with start-ups to medium sized companies. Her areas of focus consist of procurement, inventory, equipment management, shipping, recycling czar, vendor relations, and additionally has experience as a safety officer (as high as BSL2+), lab and facility relocations, renovations, and setting up new BSL2 lab space. Most importantly, Melissa is the leader of the “FUN” Committee as Seawolf Therapeutics; creating an inclusive culture and space at the company.
