Biography

Marcus Lawrance is currently Director, Global Oncology Data Strategy at AstraZeneca, and is based in Barcelona, Spain.

One of his main interests is how we can better develop and improve our real would data at source by partnering with all data providers be they governments, hospitals and data vendors, as he sees data quality as a universal limiter for almost all use cases for RWD.

Marcus has been working in the RWD space for 9 years across multiple roles both technical and strategic. He started in industry at GSK as a RW data scientist and then later at Roche, before going on to lead a team of data scientists there. His final role at Roche involved focused on improving data access and strategy for their digital health division.
