Biography

Maria Rossana Ruiz is a multifaceted engineer, innovator, and entrepreneur. Currently a Manufacturing Engineer at Ford, she is instrumental in shaping the future of electric vehicle manufacturing, leading the implementation of controls and vision systems for new Model-e plants, including the groundbreaking Blue Oval City. Beyond her daily work, Maria is a Vision Subject Matter Expert in the Core Manufacturing team. A champion of innovation, Maria is also a Ford Catalyst Innovation Program graduate, holding an Applied Design Thinking Certificate. Prior to Ford, Maria served as a Process Controls Engineer at GM where she Led quality control vision validation and training neural net Artificial Intelligence applications. She contributed to the joint venture between Lockheed Martin and GM on the Lunar Rover concept.

Beyond her corporate experience, Maria is the Founder of RoSein Skin Care, where she formulates and markets organic skincare products, showcasing her entrepreneurial spirit and business acumen. A graduate of Prairie View A&M University with a B.S. in Mechanical Engineering and a minor in Physics, Maria is also a passionate advocate for STEM education, as demonstrated by her past role as a speaker at the National Youth Leadership Forum and her involvement in various STEM organizations. With a diverse skillset, a drive for innovation, and multiple patents pending, Maria is a dynamic force in both the engineering and business worlds. During her free time Rossana loves practicing the sports of tennis and ping pong. Rossana is also skilled swimmer. Rossana is also a volunteer for different nonprofits like, American Red Cross, Grand Prix Detroit, and The Greening of Detroit.
