Julia Pence, Portfolio Manager, GSK Vaccines R&D Digital Transformation Office

 

Julia joined GSK Vaccines in 2019 as Innovation Officer for Technical R&D, where she lead internal and external ideation campaigns and helped bring new vaccine production technologies to the company. In January 2021 she joined the newly created Vaccines R&D Digital Transformation Office as the Portfolio Manager, where she is responsible for taking a global view of digital transformation projects in Vaccines R&D and ensuring that the projects are aligned to the R&D Digital Transformation strategy. Prior to joining GSK Julia worked for the bromine division of Albemarle Corporation on process scale up, process economic evaluations, and new product development. Julia holds a PhD in chemistry from the University of Notre Dame and an MBA from Louisiana State University.
