Christoph Niemöller, Application Scientist, Cytena

Christoph Niemöller studied Biology at the University of Freiburg with the focus on Genetics, Immunology and Cell Biology. In his PhD he studied clonal evolution in acute myeloid leukemia (AML) using single cell approaches and developed a new NGS based method for the simultaneous detection of gene variants and DNA methylation in single cells to study the genetic and epigenetic heterogeneity of AML (epi-gSCAR;  Nature Communications Biology 2021). In 2021 he joined Cytena as an application scientist and is currently working on projects involving the miniaturization and automation of NGS workflows.
